Our Roots
Here at Seafarers & Dockers Union of India, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2017, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs. Seafarers & Dockers Union of India (SDUI) is an organisation which has been formed after hearing many grievances from our fellow Seafarers and Dock workers regarding unsafe and inhuman working conditions, no job opportunities for new joiners to this field, no job security, untimely wages and many such issues.
Being registered in Nov 2017 and inaugurated on 14th Dec 2017.
SDUI strives for the welfare, providing job opportunities, wages and job security of Seafarers and Dock workers and to implement safe working conditions on board ships for our Seafarers and also in docks for Dock workers.
This organisation fights against any inequality, unsafe working conditions or any malpractices which our fellow Seafarers and Dock workers are facing day in and day out.

Seafarers & Dockers Union of India knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2017, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Seafarers & Dockers Union of India.
